Biography

Evelyn Grace Boileau was born on 3 October 1869 in Jersey, Channel Islands, daughter of Major Charles Henry Boileau and Susannah Maria Le Bailly. She married Henry Earle (1854-1939) on 17 September 1891 and they had one daughter, Phyllis Audrey, born 5 July 1892. Evelyn died on 31 December 1964.

Single letter from Evelyn Grace Earle to Ida Darwin dated 5 December 1899, writing of her anxiety whilst waiting for news of her husband, Henry Earle, who was severely wounded at Modder River in South Africa during the South African War.
