An exercise book containing a letter from John Long, London, to Parkes, consisting of a report on the course of study undertaken in Great Britain by Sasaki Sakanori (Sasaki Takayuki?), Okauchi Shigetoshi, Hiraka Yossinari [Hiraga Yoshitada], Nakano Saké-Akira and Nagano Fumiakira, Legal Commissioners attached to the special Japanese Embassy (the 'Iwakura Mission'), 40 folios, including blanks and the cover.
