'Notification': a printed circular issued by Francis Vyse, Kanagawa, 23 November 1859, including the text of a despatch from Rutherford Alcock, Yedo, to Vyse, 21 November 1859, and a table of applications made to the Treasury at Kanagawa for itzeboos in exchange for dollars, 2-4 November 1859.

An undated circular by Francis Vyse, Acting Consul, Kanagawa, 23 November 1859, 1 bifolio, including a despatch from Rutherford Alcock to Vyse, Yedo, 21 November 1859, and a table of applications made to the Treasury at Kanagawa for itzeboos in exchange for dollars, 2-4 November 1859. There is also a cutting from the 'Daily Telegraph', London, 27 February 1860, pp. 5-6, including two articles, 'The Stoppage of Trade in Japan' and 'Lord Elgin and Sir M. Seymour'.
