Scope and Contents

The volume contains press copies of private letters from J.J. Keswick, Nagasaki and Shanghai, concerning the Takasima Colliery, Japan. Most of the letters are addressed to William Keswick, Hong Kong, but there are also letters to Kojima Riotaro, agent for Goto Shojiro, Nagasaki, and to C.F. Hooper, Nagasaki. Only pages 1-32 of the volume have been used.
