Biography

Albert Robert Williamson joined the Indo-China Steam Navigation Co. Ltd in 1920 and was posted to the Upper Yangtze. He was appointed as the company's Marine Superintendent in 1931, and retired in 1947.

Scope and Contents An incomplete series of correspondence and related papers regarding the history of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd. Much of the series is concerned with the firm's archive at Cambridge University Library, including correspondence with the Library and members of the public about applications to use the papers.
