Biography

Ellic Howe (1910-1991) was a printer, scholar of printing history (in which field he was an associate of Stanley Morison), wartime forger, and historian of the occult.

This collection of papers was given by Ellic Howe to Cambridge University Press in 1952 (see his letter to John Dreyfus, item B/1). All but a few items (now series B) are letters to him on various aspects of typography and printing history.
