Three letters are from Morison (27 Mar. 1939, photographic print of an autograph letter; and 20 Aug. and 12 Dec. 1942, typescript carbon copies). The rest are from Updike to Morison. Included in this correspondence is an exchange of letters between Morison and David Pottinger following Updike's death (1942); and a letter from Morison to Brooke Crutchley conveying Updike's letters to him to the University Press collection (1959).
