Biography

Born 7 October 1928 in Gillingham, Kent. She married Michael Stuart (Micky) Lightband (b. 1923) on 2 July 1949. Major works: On Wooden Wings: the Adventures of Webster (1948); Notes on Cafés and Bedrooms (1963); Emir (1963); Iliad of Broken Sentences (1967); Business Men as Lovers (1969); The Way out of Berkeley Square (1970); The Halt during the Chase (1972). Died in Bournemouth on 15 April 2014.
