Biography

Member of the Botany Department in the University of Cambridge from 1905 onwards, was Professor of Botany from 1936 to 1948. Served as honorary secretary for the fifth International Botanical Congress held in Cambridge in 1930.

Scope and Contents The fifth International Botanical Congress was held in Cambridge between 16 and 23 August 1930, under the presidency of Professor A.C. Seward. Dr A.B. Rendle was honorary treasurer, and F.T. Brooks and T.F. Chipp joint honorary secretaries.
