Biography

Richard Cornwallis Neville (1820-61) succeeded his father as 4th Baron Braybrooke in 1858. Previously he was an officer in the Grenadier Guards, and served in Canada, 1838-40. He was promoted to lieutenant and captain, and retired from the service in 1842. He was a distinguished practical archaeologist, and contributed to Archaeologia and other journals.
