Biography

Beatrice Nancy Seear (1913-97), social scientist, politician, was Lecturer and later Reader in Personnel Management, London School of Economics, 1946-78. She was created a Life Peer as Baroness Seear of Paddington in 1971. In 1984-88 she was Liberal Party leader in the House of Lords, and in 1988-97 Liberal Democrat Deputy Leader.
