Biography

John Hailstone (1759-1847), was a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, 1784-1818, Woodwardian Professor of Geology, 1788-1818, and Vicar of Trumpington, Cambs, 1818-47. He married Mary Telford (1783-1838).
