Biography

Admiral Sir Graham Eden Hamond (1779-1862), son of Captain Sir Andrew Snape Hamond, 1st Baronet (1738-1828), held various commands during the Napoleonic Wars. In 1824 he conveyed Lord Stuart de Rothesay to Brazil in the Wellesley. From 1834 to 1838 he held the post of senior officer commanding the South America Squadron.
