Vicente Martin y Soler (Vincenzo Martini, lo Spagnuolo) (1754-1806), Spanish composer, received numerous commissions from Italy. After 1785 he lived in Vienna, St. Petersburg, and London. His opera was first performed as La scuola dei maritati in London in 1795, and as La capricciosa corretta in Italy, 1796.
