Biography
Sir Alexander Beaumont Churchill Dixie (1851-1924), 13th baronet, of Bosworth Park, Leicestershire, later of Poppleton Croft, York, and then Scarborough. Dixie's first wife was Lady Florence Dixie (1857-1905), poet, novelist, explorer, and advocate of women's rights. The Rev. Wolstan Dixie Churchill (1867-1941), a relative of Dixie, was Rector of Milden, 1907-22, and of North Benfleet, 1922-41.
