Some letters are to or from Morison's secretaries G. E. Alexander and M. J. Gasking, and Lewis's secretary J. M. Claydon.

Most of the correspondence concerns designs by Reynolds Stone made in 1954-5. Meynell's chief correspondents are Stone and John Simpson. With the letters are committee minutes and specimens of past and proposed designs. Also with the papers of 1954-6 are earlier letters and a memorandum by Harry Carter (1947), and a colour transparency of the arms (of uncertain connection to the rest of this item).
