Including: graph of admissions to Downing 1820-1950 showing tutors from 1860; original etter from [Edwin] Ray Lankester at Downing 1864-66 giving account of the Downing Boat Club at that time, whose initial colours were red and white stripes [no mention of magenta adoption]; description of Downing College Arms and article by James Grantham 1965 - The Original Arms of Downing College from the Old Gates in Downing Street.
