Biography
George Parker Bidder (1806-1878) was a notable mental artithmetitst and engineer; his son, George Parker Bidder II (1836-96) was a barrister and writer on cryptography, while his son, George Parker Bidder (1863-1953) III, was a biologist and President of the Marine Biological Association of the U.K.. GPB III's daughter, Anna McClean Bidder (1903-2001) was co-founder and first President of Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge.
