Adam Sedgwick: Letters and Papers
Address to Charles, 2nd Viscount Townshend
An address by the University of Cambridge to Charles, 2nd Viscount Townshend, thanking him for his part in securing Bishop Moore's library for the University, 1715. There is a draft of Townshend's reply, an account of the expenses of foreign ministers of the British Crown, 1741, and an address from the University of Louvain to the University of Cambridge, 1919.

Cambridge student's commonplace book
Written in four hands after 1624, 71 folios: (fos 1-66) various ballads, verses, poems and epitaphs, some of which have been printed; (fo. 66v) 'London 1868'. Attached to a flyleaf at the end are 19th century notes by F.W. Cosens on the contents. The bookplate of F.W. Cosens also appears inside the front cover.

'Sent by the post to a gentleman of each College, in the University, Jany. the 4th. 1750.' They have not been consulted about changes in University for 'time immemorial'; hope that the right may be restored to them in remodelling of laws and customs and statutes; ask that a delegation may attend next meeting

Cambridge University Charters and Statutes
Cambridge University examination papers, 1769 - 1776
Cambridge University examination papers in mathematics, with answers, 1769-1771, apparently in competition for 'Dr Smith's prizes', with a list of candidates, 1769-1776. The candidates include Dr Samuel Vince of Caius College, who was first prizeman and senior wrangler in 1775.
Cambridge University Library: Index to Signatures
List of autograph signatures found in books in Cambridge University Library, 168 folios. The names are arranged in alphabetical order. Most of the entries are in the hand of C.E. Sayle, with some in that of F.J.H. Jenkinson. The entries were first made in 1894. Probably few if any entries were made after 1929 and the book is not now in use.

Autograph signatures of members of the senate in support of petition to House of Lords opposing the Irish Church bill. After (fo. 7) heads of colleges and (fo. 8) professors the signatures are arranged by college. They appear on strips of paper, pasted into the volume. There is (fo. 2) a full list of contents, which includes related material both MS. and printed.

Inside the front cover are the names 'Mr. Bright, 36 Cadogan Place' and Lilley and Britnell. There are also various numbers of sale catalogues.
