Biography

Oswald H. Allen was active in Sydney from the 1850s. He seems to have worked for the Freeman Bros. (Cato 1955, pp.16-17). From 1867-71 Allen and his wife had a studio at 360 George Street (Davies and Stanbury 1985, p.122).
