Biography

Asiadata Ltd was formed in 1970 as a joint venture of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd, Barclays Bank Ltd and International Computers Ltd for a new computer service bureau at Hong Kong. The Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation replaced I.C.L. in 1972. Cable & Wireless Ltd bought a stake in the company during 1970, and acquired a controlling interest in 1974.
