Biography

Dairy Farm was established in Hong Kong in 1886. The company purchased the Hong Kong Ice Company in circa 1918, becoming the Dairy Farm, Ice & Cold Storage Co Ltd (the name reverted subsequently to Dairy Farm). It merged its food retailing operations with Lane Crawford in 1960, creating Daily Lane Ltd. It was acquired by Hongkong Land in 1972, becoming a subsidiary of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd. Today, it is a leading retailer in the fields of food, health and beauty, home furnishings and restaurants, operating throughout South East Asia.
