The B.B.C. correspondents are B. H. Alexander, Jane Gordon Clark, Deryck Cooke, Michael Heffernan, Julian Holland, Norman Longmate, Kathleen McGoldrick and D. B. Mann. The letter of 25 November 1990 is addressed jointly to 'Mr and Mrs Holbrook'.

Two files are restricted on grounds of confidentiality, and a number of files are not available for research on account of the poor physical condition of the documents they contain.
