Biography

John Watson was a commercial photographer. He was active in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, from 1855 to circa 1875. Watson had studios in: Edward Street, North Brisbane 1855 (this was a branch of Glaisters, Sydney); Queen Street, Brisbane, 1862-1875; Stanley Street, South Brisbane 1874 (Davies and Stanbury 1985, p.250).
