Scope and Contents

54 x 51 mm. A snapshot showing Sir Henry Lovell Goldsworthy Gurney (1898-1951) standing with another European and four Chinese men on the bank of a river in Negri [i.e. Negeri] Sembilan (probably at Port Dickson). Gurney served in the Colonial Service in Kenya, Jamaica, the Gold Coast and Palestine before being appointed High Commissioner for the Federation of Malaya in 1948.
